Black Skirts
Yesterday I bought this black skirt which was on sale in Zara for £12.99 and the original price was £19.99. I really liked the way it folded in half in a way. I think the button is really cute too. It is a twill skirt and is make out of 100% cotton according to Zara. You can get it in 5 different colours.
Moon the Pig
The other day I bought a piggy bank in this little store that sold those Chinese cats that wave. He is really cute and I called him Moon although some people would probably think he was a girl. The picture above is an exact copy! Does anybody else think he is cute

Harry Potter.. Goodbye?
I have grown up watching and waiting for the next Harry Potter. Now it's coming to an end. This July the last Harry Potter will be released on the 15th. It makes me upset for the end. I always wanted Hogwarts to be real just like I've always wanted to live when there were pirates. I hope Hogwarts is real but I'm just a muggle so.. I'm not getting to go. The caption for the poster 'It All Ends' really makes me sad. I love RON! He is so funny and immature, I also like Malfoy because I feel sorry for him... he was brought up to be a meanie. xx
THE KOOKS - My favourite band of all time ... :D
The Kooks are my favourite band ever. I love their style of music, apparently it's called 'indie rock'. I've listened to them ever since my mum bought their first album. The song 'Naive' is mentioned in quite a few films like 'Angus,Thongs and Perfect Snogging' apart from Lily Allen is doing a cover. Their new and third album called 'Junk of the Heart' is out on the 12th of September. If you sign up now you can get a free download of their song 'The Saboteur'. To be honest they are just pretty cool people... :) Here are a few links :

Decorating Bedrooms - NO idea what time period this is though
Recently I redecorated my bedroom. I painted it DULUX Javan Dawn 6 and Javan Dawn 1. I really like it and my friend helped me paint it. I got most of the furniture from IKEA and others from shops like Matalan and some charity shops and some cafes that sold old books. I wanted my room to look old fashioned but I'm not really what era it is though. It's quite tidy to be honest. I hope you like it. The little lights I have wrapped around my bed are a gift from the friend who helped paint my room.
The Royal Wedding
Well i'm only going to tune in for the royal wedding for a wee bit because I really want to see Kate Middleton's dress! I'm sure it will look lovely on her whatever the make.. I think Kate is a really natural girl and i'm sure she will do her royal duties well!

13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson
In about November last year I read a book called '13 Little Blue Envelopes' by Maureen Johnson. It about a seventeen year old girl called Ginny who receives a letter from her aunt, Aunt Peg who lives in the East Village of New York. She lives above a greasy restaurant called the 4th Noodle. The letter tells her to pick up a package from her neighbor. The package contains 13 envelopes all addressed to Ginny and she can only open the next letter after she has done what the one before tells her to do.
Inside the letter was money and instructions to buy an plane ticket.
Inside letter two is is instructions to a London flat.
Letter 3 tells Ginny to find a starving artist.
I really enjoyed the book and read it all the time. I recommended it to a number of my friends and they all loved it. It really is a page turner. I read it within a week (I think).
Books & Recipes
I think I am going to add book reviews and some tasty recipes to the blog so I can get more internet traffic. I have read quite a few books recently and have had nobody to talk to about them. So the next post will be about a teenage fiction book called '13 Little Envelopes' by Maureen Johnson . See you then xx

Golden Globes = Golden Dresses
I was in Co-op and waiting for my dad to buy some chips so I started reading 'Look' magazine. I turned to that page that nearly every gossip magazine has you know the one with all the dresses from the award shows. The award show this issue was the 'Golden Globes' 2011. I flicked through it and some of the actresses looked really like princesses..! I am not joking. I think the real stars were Olivia Wilde, Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie. Olivia has a fab pair of shoes on underneath the tulle dress. How long did it take to sew on all those sequins?.. Angelina wears Atelier Versace, Olivia wears Marchesa and Sarah wears Max Azria.

Must Have Fashion Websites...
Here are two websites I found and I just wanted to show you them. They are all to do with creating, styling and fashion. My favourite out of the two is Looklet.
Looklet is a website for all wannabe fashionistas. It is basically the same as Facebook but you can 'Create a Look' which is taking designer clothes and putting them on a model and you get rated for them and so on.. At the moment Looklet has joined up with Vogue.com and you can get a special offer on the magazine - something like 10 issues for £19.99, which is considerably cheap..- anyway I really like this website plus some of the people who have visited the Highstreet Cowgirl have been referred from there. I recommend this site for anybody who wants to get into fashion or styling , more or less the same thing.
Polyvore is a fashion collage making website. I like it because it's really simple and easy to use. You can pick really expensive clothes and add them to your collage. Also add make-up, accessories and even music covers! Again you have the sort of Facebook type of idea but it does work and you can spend hours on here....<3 The website even has a section where you can buy things from your collage! A-MA-ZING!!! Though it is rather expensive... I also like that you can send your pictures to your blog, facebook and twitter.
For Polyvore my account is KindApple so if you want to add me you know where to find me and for Looklet I'm registered under the name Lily, obviously .

Enough of Liquorice Allsorts! We want Punky Allsorts!
I once saw in a magazine some celebrities wearing these really funky bracelets that looked like Dolly Mixtures and I thought I want one of those but of course I would never get one because you had to buy them on-line...
Well anyway I went on the internet and typed in Dolly Mixture bracelets and I found this website called Punky Allsorts so I clicked on it and here came this site that was amazing. Even celebrities like Lauren Conrad and Katy Perry had some. The prices are really affordable and everything is made from scratch! So if you want to have a look click on the link! By the way if you are wondering what Dolly Mixtures are take a look at this and if you didn't know they are sweets! :-)

It's All About The Fur
I'm not usually a big fan of faux fur but it is actually very fashionable and warm. I tried a leopard print faux fur coat on in New Look and it looked quite stylish. I know most people are against any type of fur, I used to be one of those people but I've had a change of heart.

I like to dance, dance, dance ...
Here are a pair of flats that I got a while back but I hadn't posted recently so I thought I'd make a post about them! All my friends said when they saw them why are you wearing real ballet pumps? I replied there are not real they were made by fairies.. It makes me laugh :) They cost £16 fairy pounds from little fashionable village called Topshop... <3

Latest Buys Take 3
I went into town yesterday with my friend in the pouring rain. I got these peacock print hareem pants from Topshop for £34.20 because I get a 10% discount with my Young Scot card but the correct price is £38.00. I have been eyeing them up for a while but never had enough money. I absolutely love them to pieces! I also really like that they are machine washable.
Hareem Pants Picture 1 I also bought a blouse from Topshop which was supposed to be £16 but I got it for £14.40 because of my discount! I wore it to school today. I love the detail on it. It's a very flattering blouse. Credits: Picture 1 |

My Latest Buys Take 2
Yesterday I went into town with my friend for 5 hours and I bought a coat from Zara. It's a checked coat with a belt. It cost £59.99 , rather expensive but my mum said she would pay me back! It's nice and warm and I can't wait to wear it in the Winter! I also bought a smock top style shirt from New Look but I can't find it on the website so that I can show you... Oh well..
Also on the long weekend I went on holiday and went into town with my family to go and look for a coat (I actually saw the one I bought there too) and some boots for Winter. I got a pair of light brown brogues with a slight wedge heel which cost £12 from Primark! I love them! <3 A pair of brown studded leather ankle boots from Marks & Spencer's. They cost £35.

Nautical Skirt
This is a skirt I found on the "Very" app which can be found online at . The skirt is made by Love Label, who I'd never actually heard of before. It's 97% cotton and 3% elastane. It costs £25.00. If you are searching for it on the website its called Love Label Nautical Skirt.
The skirt is perfect for wearing to school if you have a dress code but nobody listens to it like my school. I would wear it apart from it's navy.
